What is the difference between the Arm Stay and Arm Away?

Arming the system in "stay" mode turns on the doors, windows, and glass-break detectors. This is designed for perimeter devices.

On the Simon XT:

You do this by hitting the "doors and windows" button once. If you hit it twice, then that will
arm the system without an entry delay.

NOTE: You will ALWAYS have an exit delay.

Arming the system in "away" mode turns on the motions, doors, windows, and glass-break detectors. This is a comprehensive coverage designed when no person, or large pets, are home.

You can do this by hitting the "motions" button once. This has a 60-second exit delay by default.

With the Simon XT panel, you can do both methods of arming.
