I am unable to locate this link "Access garage door registration through emPower -> Garage"  within my alarm.com account. Is it possible it moved since this article was created? Thanks!

You have to call/email Safemart/LiveWatch and they will enable that feature (provided you have the proper level of service) on your account. That's what I did.

I second that Mr. Beischel!  I just did the same and had the gateway added to my system and in-control of my opener in no time!  This was one of the simplest/smartest add-ons to my LiveWatch system yet!

can you use the chamberlain myq gateway?  I have a lift master opener that works with the lift master myq app.

The Chamberlain MyQ can be used as the gateway! Let us know if you have any questions on it.

I purchased the Liftmaster MyQ Garage Universal Smartphone Garage Door Controller, 821 lm for use with my existing Linear garage door openers. The controller works perfectly and I added a second sensor to monitor our second garage door.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any supporting documentation for the Alarm.com installation/configuration. After 30 minutes of explaining with support from LiveWatch we had door #1 configured (as per Mr. Beischel and Mr. Stange) however, we could not get door #2 configured. The problem we encountered was that the device configuration option for a non native MyQ device was not presented in the Add A Device interface after door #1 had been configured. Another 10 minutes with Alarm.com support was able to resolve the problem and I now have two non-MyQ garage door openers being monitored and controlled through Alarm.com using using the LiftMaster wifi hub. None of the documentation that we were able to find addresses the use of a non LiftMaster/Chamberlain opener though it is clearly supported by the device I purchased and within the Alarm.com configuration (option number 3 of MyQ Wall Controller, MyQ Opener, other MyQ device).

Also take note, if you choose to go this route, don't bother to configure the Controller with the LiftMaster phone application. The hub only allows one controlling system and you must disassociate from the LiftMaster application before you can add it to the Alarm.com system. Configuring with the LiftMaster application was beneficial in that I knew it worked with my door openers, but was wasted effort in the long run.
