What is the difference between my Verbal Code word and Keypad code?

When it comes to your alarm system, you need to always know two critical things; your Verbal Code Word and Keypad Code

Code word

The Verbal Code word is the code word set up on the account to cancel an alarm and/or dispatch.

Why is this important?

  • This code word will be requested by the Central Station Operator when they call on an activated alarm (the code word is necessary to prevent false alarm dispatches which can lead to fines)

  • The code word is necessary to access and/or change information on the account

Keypad Code

The keypad code is used to arm and disarm the system, this keypad code is not used to verify safety or access any information on the account.

Why is this important?

It is essential to memorize this code in order to disarm or reset the system in the event of an alarm.
