How to Sync a SkyBell on Android

Note: Please stand near the SkyBell during the syncing process. Ensure the SkyBell is flashing red/green.  If not, please factory reset the device by pressing your SkyBell button in and hold it for about a minute. The LED will flash rapid green > red and green > blue > yellow.  Please make sure to start the syncing process while connected to your home network (not the SkyBell network), as you need internet access for the first few steps.

  1. Open the SkyBell HD app and press "Add a SkyBell"
  2. Press the green arrow at the bottom 2 times
  3. Press the box with an arrow in it and turn "Airplane Mode" on
  4. Press the back button
  5. Press the green arrow at the bottom
  6. Press the box with an arrow in it and turn Wifi on
  7. Select the network "SkybellHD_XXXXXXX"
  8. Press the back button
  9. Press the green arrow at the bottom
  10. Select your home Wi-Fi network
  11. Press the green arrow at the bottom
  12. Enter your home Wi-Fi network password. You may want to press the eye icon to show your password as you type it.
  13. Press the green arrow at the bottom.
  14. The app will remind you to turn off "Airplane Mode" but do NOT turn it off until the sync is complete.
  15. Your SkyBell should begin changing colors; it should flash Orange, then flash Green/Blue, then finally turn solid Green
  16. When the SkyBell is solid green, your sync is complete and you can turn off "Airplane Mode"
