Symptoms: Your SkyBell is not recording, but you can watch live and you are still receiving notifications.
A manual soft reset can be performed by doing the following:
- Begin holding down SkyBell doorbell button
- The SkyBelll flashes Green, Red-Green then Blue
- Once SkyBell flashes BLUE release button wait approximately a minute for Skybell to reboot
The SkyBell should begin recording within 10 minutes after rebooting

Does this initiate a firmware update as well as rebooting?

Depending on the model of Skybell you use, there are three different firmware version distinctions. This process does not initiate a firmware update.
My skybell is not recording. The bell does ring. That's all.
