  • Time Warner system was transferred over. Installation of wired system July 1993 by NewChannels Security for previous owner. DSC Digital Touch Pad PC2550. Time Warner took over and we signed with them in Sept 2005.

  • The Smoke Detector keeps going online and offline. It has new battery. I think this thing is defective ever since it was installed last September when I started the service

    I have an even better option!
    We offer a true "wireless" smart home system that doesn't require a landline phone system at all. In reference to your DSC - I would highly recommend upgrading to a newer control panel (my personal favorite is the IQ Panel 2). With technology enhancements like facial recognition, built in camera options, and Bluetooth disarming - you can't really go wrong.

    Sorry to hear that you've been having issues with your smoke detector. I typically see this sort of behavior when the chamber in the smoke is clogged. I would recommend blowing out the smoke detector with a can of compressed air to removed any dust or particle build up. If you see the same behavior, I would recommend texting our Digital team at 469-513-8685 to setup a service call.

  • Alarm.com website is using FLASH PLAYER to view video cameras live feed or recorded videos. Google Chrome do not support FLASH PLAYER or any other add-on of similar nature. Similarly Microsoft Internet Explorer & Microsoft Edge has announced to discontinue the use of FLASH PLAYER on their browser and making HTML5 as mandatory. I am unable to view camera live feed or watch video due to this reason. What Brinks Home Security or Alarm.com is doing in this matter ? When do we expect a fix to this issue ?

    Alarm.com is currently working on a new update to resolve this issue. I don't have an official date, but the working solution is in Beta. I'll post here when the update is enabled.
