Does anyone know if a WiFi thermostat will work with my IQ panel? or it has to also be Z-Wave capable?Is there a WiFi thermostat that is also Z-Wave capable?
From my understanding, no. I'm guessing there has to be some sort of contract between alarm.com and the wifi thermostat's brand like what they have down with Chamberlain/Liftmaster and Lutron. I believe some Honeywell models are both wifi and z-wave compatible.

For now the IQ Panel is only compatible with Z-wave Thermostat, but this may be changing in the future.

You're on the money! Honeywell systems do recognize both Wifi and Z-WAVE Thermostats.
