  • I see Instant Interior Door which alarms for Stay and Away, but no Interior door for Instant Away only, and why do I get a bypass notification of any interior anything when armed for Stay?

  • Hello Bill,

Thank you for your question. In order to program a sensor on a GE security system to chime when it is opened, but not set off the alarm, you will want the door sensor programmed in group 40. Group 10 is the normal group for a door sensor. It will start an entry delay when the door is opened, and will be armed both for stay and away. Group 14 is the same, except it will not start an entry delay. Instead the alarm will go off immediately when the door is opened. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
