The keypad is beeping @ regular intervals. I have no manual for this system. I found instructions for stopping the beep but  it starts back. I received a recorded message from Brinks informing me how to get a new battery & replace it. I am a disabled senior citizen & need technical help for a battery change. HELP!

  • Hi Steve,

I can provide video instructions for changing the battery. Which system do you have?

  • My keypad is beeping 5 rapid tones.

Screen indicates, Hallway sensor, which is a temperature fire alarm.

This is a intermittent problem.  Weeks can go by without a problem.

I cannot bypass the zone.  What gives?

  • Hi Ronald,

The keypad will not allow you to bypass a life-saving device. Heat, smoke, and carbons are all programmed under a sensor group number, that recognizes and disallows bypassing. You mentioned this is an intermittent problem. Is the temperature fire alarm located anywhere in a kitchen or within 36" of a bathroom door (if it has a shower)?

Also, can you share the name of your keypad?
