my basement door sensor tampered

My basement door sensor gave wrong opening once or twice for a while. I opened the sensor and unloaded and loaded the battery back. I have been getting "basement door failure  tampered" and can't alarm my system for one or two months.

  • Hi Dibo,

    With the sensor showing failure I would recommend replacing with new batteries. (Make sure the cover is flush with no gaps or openings and then reset your system)

    I changed the battery and it worked 2 or 3 days. Got failure last Sunday. Will try take off and put back the new battery and make sure the cover again this evening when I get home.

  • I wrongly put a new battery upside down but it worked 2 or 3 three days before the  failure was reported. I replaced the ruined battery and it worked.

    Sorry a few days late to report the result.
