Installing new battery

called support yesterday due to key pad beeping.  Was told I needed a new battery and was given the battery info.  There are several batteries of this type so we need to take out the old battery to be sure the new one has correct prongs.   PROBLEM: how do we remove key pad to access the battery

  • I have been having the same system since 2002. The keypad got broken when I tried to open it to replace battery. Can you replace it?

  • Hi Maria,

Wow! 18 years is a long time. What system do you have? We definitely want to ensure you're protected during this time.

Are you looking to upgrade or replace your existing keypad?

  • The keypad is a Monitronics International INC K4392V2. The keypad is also beeping indicating that it needs a new battery. The problem is that I don't remember how to replace it, and I don't think it is worth it to do it. What do I have to do for you to send somebody to replace it?

I have to mention that when the alarm activated by accident, I used to receive a call from you to make sure that everything was okay. That doesn't happen anymore.
